I do not know the name of the photographer of this picture. It was sent to me in my e-mail. If anyone knows his/her name,
I would be glad to give them credit on my site. This picture moved me, and wanted all my visiters to see it as well.

The sad day of September 11th was heart wrenching

Everyone knows what that date means.
Even if you do not say in what year it happened.
I felt as if the buildings were crying that day, as was I.
From my television set, I helplessly watched them both fall.
Then I sat down, and I wrote what I felt the buildings would say
If they could speak.
I think you will relate, and feel the emotion I tried to express in the following poem.

What Our Towers Would Say If They Could Speak

The September 11 2001 tragedy

I saw the towers…when they were born
They stood so tall…and so very strong
They looked over…their peaceful city
And watched all night…while everyone did sleep

"I tried to stand…and protect you all
But the explosion above…was just too strong
I still tried to stand…though my girders were weak
I tried very hard…but it was of no use

"Let Us Stand Tall
In Everyone's Memory"

Mouse Trail Script

The daily citizens…passed by each day
Not knowing their twin towers
Would be gone one day
Towering over…the people below
They quietly watched them…go to and fro

Now beneath…the smoldering rubble
Lay the two building…that once stood so tall
Asking the people…they fell upon
To please forgive them…it wasn’t their fault
The voice of a tower…the oldest brother
Now speaks…with the world on his shoulders

Then my brother went down…and I lost my hold
And all at once…I tumbled below
I could do nothing…to stop the spew
As dust and rubble…flew all around
Then all at once…there wasn’t a sound

The men who did this…knew me not
So why would they harm me
And the twin that I’ve lost
We did nothing to them
And yet here we lie
Broken and torn…with a tear in our eye

The US Flag…still blows free
For from under the rubble…I could see
The brave young firemen
Who placed her upon my knee

Don’t let them take…our memory away
For we’ll always be with you
My brother and me
Let us stand tall in everyone’s memory
Like that beautiful Flag

The U S of A's shawl."

A Poem For The Families Of The Disaster

So many people…perished today
And no reason why does anyone relay
Our hearts go out to the families great pain
And to those beautiful people that were so needlessly slain

No one knows why terrorism came here
For we help everyone and in our dismay
We sit here in shock experiencing…the numbness we feel on this day

No matter the race or country’s past disputes
The US of A always contributes
We put out our hand to help the rest
And ask nothing of them but their friendship and trust

To the families left behind there is nothing to be said
That can help the pain that in your heart stays

Just remember… we all are with you
Lending our shoulder to help you get through
The most sinless abuse of human disaster
And we’ll help dry your tears forever after.

Love to you all from the rest of…
Our...  United  States Of America
